Cakes are priced per serving based on level of difficulty.

Do you Offer Cake Tastings?


We do not offer in-house cake tastings or consultations. We offer a variety of cake flavors and dessert options to sample at each Walters venue Showcase. Please ask your Planning Representative for these dates.


How do I place my order?

You will personalize your cake during the design meeting with your Wedding Planner approximately 90 days before your event. If you are looking for a fully custom design, no time is too soon! If your cake design involves custom aspects, the bakery will quote your design upon request.

Approximately 30 days from your wedding date is when your Wedding Planner will request a completed order.

Please use TripleSeat for all communication to reduce any missed details. We are happy to verbally discuss any questions, concerns, or details, but will always recap our discussion through your TripleSeat portal so all details can be referenced when needed.


What is included in my Walters Cake Package?

Please see our Walters Cake Package tab for details. We’re happy to answer additional questions over the phone and via your Tripleseat portal.


What does By Appointment Only mean?

We do not have set hours in the bakery as we come and go often to prepare and deliver orders. We do not have a store front or offer over the counter walk-in sales. 


I left a voicemail/email on Friday, when can I expect my call/email to be returned?

With Friday and Saturday being the busiest days in the bakery, we are usually unable to answer the phone or check emails. We are also closed on Sunday and Monday, so we will return your call or email left during these days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!


Can I make changes to my order?

Changes to your cake size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 30 days prior to your wedding date!

After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes. Changes may affect the price of the cake and not all changes may be accepted due to time constraints. Late changes will incur a $50 fee.


Do you rent cake stands?

No, cake stands are on site at Walters Wedding Estates venues. If you have a specific vision, you are more than welcome to bring in your own stands. If you’re wanting to purchase or rent custom options, we are happy to help you with making the best selection!


Can I put my cake outside?

The Jenny Layne Bakery is not responsible for the condition of products following set-up at an outdoor venue/event due to effects of outdoor weather conditions, table on un-level ground, wind blowing, undesirable atmospheric items (ie; dirt, leaves, branches, sunlight) insects and other wildlife. Products such as icing, frosting, filling, fondant, cake decorations etc. may not hold up and cannot be insured past satisfactory delivery and set-up or pick up. If you are wanting your cake outside, you must sign a waiver during delivery,


Do you deliver your cakes?

Yes! Cake delivery is included in your package. Deliveries are scheduled 1.5-2 hours prior to your ceremony start time to ensure that the cake is not sitting out for an unnecessary period of time. Additions like florals and toppers will be added to your cake on site. Please leave these items on your cake table!

There is a $1500 order minimum for all deliveries and availability is limited.

The bakery is closed Sunday & Monday, but we do offer deliveries on these days for weddings and large events.
